签证术语常用词汇缩写索引（待补充...）：

1000 - 一签，表示第一次去大使馆的签证经历，经常有“祝贺LZ1000而过”的用语出现

140 - 指I-140表格，申请绿卡的第二步；如果申请NIW或者EB1，I-140为第一步（参见本帖“NIW”“EB”词条）

485 - 申请绿卡的第三步，在美国转换身份，大多数人用此方式；如果申请NIW或者EB1，I-140为第二步（参见本帖“NIW”“EB”词条）

AD - Admission的缩写，录取通知书

CP - 申请绿卡的第三步，到境外的领事馆转换身份，比较少用，中国人应该在广州领事馆办理

CPT - Curricular Practical Training, 在学校期间做intern的时候申请的实习许可

EB - Extraodinary Ability

F1 - 学生签证/身份

F2 - F1的配偶和未成年子女的签证/身份

FP - Finger Print，打指纹

GC - Green Card的缩写，绿卡，永久居住许可证。

H1 - 工作签证/身份。

H4 - H1的配偶和未成年子女的签证/身份

豁免J-1 Waiver -  Certain exchange visitors are subject to the two-year foreign residence requirement of Section 212(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Exchange visitors who are subject to, but do not wish to comply with, the two-year home country residence requirement, may apply for a waiver of that requirement under any one of the five applicable grounds provided by the United States immigration law. 总共有5个合法申请豁免的原因，绝大多数学生使用的是原因1."No Objection" statement from the home government也就是中国大使馆发出的不持疑信。

I-20 - Immigration-20表格，美国学校提供留学生申请签证（F1 Visa，参见本帖“F1”词条）时的入学证明许可文件，和AD一起寄出（参见本帖“AD”词条）。收到了正式的I-20之后，即可持该文件、护照，及财力证明去办理签证了。I-20非常的重要，就如同身份证一样，在美期间必须妥善保管。I-20如果遗失，需要去学校的ISS补办。

ISS - International Student Serveice，留学生服务中心。

LC - Labor Certificate，劳工证，申请绿卡的一种方式。

NIW - National Interest Waiver

OPT - Optional Practical Training，从学校毕业后申请到的工作实习许可

PERM - 最新的劳工申请procedure，代替了以前的LC，参见本帖“LC”词条。

PR - Permanent Residency的缩写，跟绿卡意思一样，参见本帖“GC”词条
