括号部分为正确选项部分 。但是我当时犹豫在had feared部分，这句话前半部分在用现在时和将来时，突然跳到过去完成时感觉时态有跳跃不统一。GMAT考试里时态可以跳跃吗？

我个人一直觉得，我们对时态的理解是有误区的，在英语中虽然有在形式上时态前后一致这样的规定，但在实际中时态往往是和句子所要表达的意思相一致的。

作为非老美，还是不建议用时态作为split，毕竟有时会转进去，理解不了，还浪费时间。。。。不过就这道题可以好好理解下含义，而不是单看时态的语法：股市有收益反映了复苏的信心，即经济避免了今年早期所担心的衰退并会软着陆。过去完成时在这里，就是对应一个“在今年早期之前的时间都是很担心，到了今年早期就不再担心了。”
" many had feared earlier in the year" (Past perfect 今年早期之前很担心) ....... (past-隐藏信息：economy recovered,暂且认为是今年早期经济恢复 )....... "the gains in the stock market reflect growing confidence" (present -现在我们有了信心) ...... "the economy will avoid the recession" (future-对于未来的展望和预测)。

发现考理解句义的时态的题还是挺多的（不幸的是还经常错）。

OG SC76题又是一道这样的题。
Combining enormous physical strength with higher intelligence, the Neanderthals (appear to have been equipped to face any obstacle the environment could put in their path), but their relatively sedden disappearance during the Paleolithic era indicates that an inability to adapt to some environmental change led to their extinction.

括号内是正确答案。
我原以为Neanderthals已经不存在了，所以应该用过去时appeared, 但是正确答案是appear to have been. 这个appear to have been 要怎么理解呢？现在appear以前have been，，，，我已经晕掉了。

亲，这里have been恰好能表示出作者意图呢，
作者是想contrast 之前的理解和现状，用have been恰好啊。
试想： N 在那时候已经具备了xxxx，但是，现在却消失了。
已经具备 和现在消失 对比的多好呀。
从含义出发啦亲。

语法真的好难提高，怎么做错题率都不下降。
昨天晚上做gmat练习时，室友说我当时的表情严肃得吓人。
今天白天上班偷着做gmat语法，题目都不会做；忽然收到同事的短信，说她路过办公室时看到我的表情吓了一跳，以为我在工作上遇到了大麻烦，安慰我想开点，，，
不知道我做gmat时的表情居然这么恐怖= = 应该拍张照片发给出题人，让他们猜我正在做哪到题。
