面试问题：

1、introduce yourself

这个不用多讲，大家都会准备的很充分，我觉得一定要有亮点，如果你在工作中生活中有什莫特殊的经历（你的职位晋升特别快，你有多个部门的经历，你曾经跟不同文化背景的人共过事），比如你去过很多国家之类的，对方会比较感兴趣，比你复述你的简历要好得多。如果可能，去了解一下面试官的背景，能找到你们的共同点最好。我提到了我平时会给需要帮助的人做心理咨询，结果她也是，我说我喜欢潜水，结果她老公参加过潜水教练资格培训，这个是我的运气好，不是了解她的背景结果。跟任何人交流如果能发现你们的共同点，那会是一个好的开始。

2、why mba, why simon, why now

这个问题也是几乎每个学校都问的问题，也是我认为最重要的问题。

Why mba，这个问题我觉得大家都会想的很清楚，一定要清晰的表达出来，而且要有信心，可以适当的加上一些definitely之类的词，但不要太多，在这里要让老外感受的你的自信。

Why this school,这个问题尽可能的通过各种途径了解这个学校，我倒是觉得最有效的方式就是了解学校的课程和教授，我面试的时候课程没有说的很多，但是我提到了三个教授，的确是我很喜欢的，对方的反应也很强烈。

Why now ，我觉得最好不要表现出对现在工作的不满，当然有很多人正是因为这个原因选择mba，要体现出你的passion.每个人都有自己的原因，但是如果在国内就过的不好，那以后国外的道路会更艰难

3、why choose you

我讲了三条：

学习能力（我的本科是机械设计专业，毕业后一直做销售，业绩也不错）我觉得这个经历很多作销售的人都有。
领导力，我的团队还是比较大的，其实我觉得每一种背景都是选择你的原因，关键看你怎莫说，有管理经验很好，没有和很少也很好，可以到你们学校学习。
沟通能力，这是跟我的平时的心理咨询经历相结合。
我觉得要研究你选择的学校的理念，去看一下你选择的学校喜欢什莫样的人。Simon是比较看重领导力和沟通能力的。

这个问题moose给我的建议是要有具体的例子，老外看重数据，既有工作中的例子也有生活中的例子最好。

4、what is your payment plan?

我说的是花自己的积蓄，不需要别人的资助和贷款，最后还是给了25%的奖学金，所以我倒是觉得这样说挺好的，对方也会觉得你比较成功，但是不知道这个经验是不是可以推广。

5、Your work  your difficulties in your work

我说的是我在公司里的一个竞争对手，因为我做到了什莫位置而他没有所以我对我处处为难，但最后被我搞定，成为至交，嘿嘿。老外听得频频点头，看来这个现象在美国也很普遍。

6、other questions

moose 给我的建议是问一下在那个学校的亚洲学生的生活学习就业情况，她给我解释了很长时间，有一些没听懂，但是我不断的微笑和频频点头，所以她说的还是很爽。

因为我申请的是18个月的Accelerated Program，所以没有时间实习，她还问我以后要在哪里工作，我说都行，无所谓，总之你要让对方觉得你以后的工作没有问题，这个是商学院的一个重要的考核目标。

面试结束后，我买单用的是信用卡，结果那个刷卡的人去接了个电话，所以又跟面试官聊了一会，这个情况最好是避免。我是当天到的北京，身体比较累，用非母语交流很难集中精力很久。我们谈了天气，还有北京奥运会，她问我对北京奥运会怎莫看，如果还是在面试中，我肯定会说对中国的经济很有意义，我以后的工作也有了着落，股市也会不错之类，嘿嘿。可是我那时候太累了，一定too crowed就脱口而出了，结果她说rochester 人不多，环境也不错。说完之后我就后悔了，会不会觉得我不够积极呢。

Moose给我的其他建议：

1、眼神交流很重要，你要微笑的看着对方，根据对方的表情调整自己的表情，即使有些地方你没听清楚，但你可以看清楚,但不要一直直视对方，尤其是对异性更是如此。

2、适当的停顿，可是在这个过程中，说一次我有一些紧张，在你说错了某些地方的时候，但不要重复强调你紧张，对方会觉得你没有自信。Ms. Jacqueline M. Tomas很好，当我说有些紧张的时候，她让我喝点咖啡，休息一下，很nice的一个人。另外语速太快不经过思考，会让对方觉得你把内容设计好了，也不太好。

3、有一些发音不太好的单词多练习一下。

其他的建议我觉得是针对我个人的，如果大家需要我就贴出来

其他想到的问题：

1、关于口语的问题：

我的工作完全不需要英语，是个中日合资的企业，其实也不需要日语。口语的问题大家都会有，其实不可怕，多练习就好了，有机会交几个老外朋友，快面试的时候在一起混几天，会有效果的，其实发音不准也没什莫的，关键要表达清楚。

2、关于找中介的问题：

如果自己没有时间找个中介也是个不错的选择，不过合同条款很重要，还有就是如果申请很好的学校，我觉得中介的作用不大。

希望能够帮到大家，我经历过了一个失败的2007秋季入学的申请，所以我想说大家应该坚持和努力，自助者天助，祝大家都顺利。唯一遗憾的是好像春季入学的人很少，只好自己去了，嘿嘿。

Simon MBA Phone Inverview (2007-3-8)
hi all,

Just finished Simon. It's my first time telephone-interview, quite different feeling from that of the face to face one. Anyway, it's not bad and my interviewer is a very nice lady with beautiful voice.

My questions:

Tell me about your academic and professional experience.
Follow up questions like why you think you are a good fit for the education cause and etc.
Career goal, why MBA and why Simon
Share me your overseas experience.
Questions to ask
How to finance your tuition?
Other schools you applied and how's the status?
Would you like to add more additional infomation for candidacy?
Actually, I am quite surprised with the last three questions for i always think "questions to ask" should be normally the last question, hehe

Simon MBA Interview Experience (2007-1-26)
Had a very intense telephone interview with Simon this morning. Lasted about 36 minutes.

Why MBA?
my academic experience with an overseas university.
Why Simon.
Difficult situations under team work context. give an example.
ethical issues encountered before. give an example.
weaknesses you have when you study at Simon.
questions for the school.
Hope this is helpful.  

Interview is not scaring at all.  Just be yourself.  Tell them a true you.  You'll be fine.

I had interview with Ross last week.  Too normal questions.  Not as challenging as Simon's.  Well, after interview with Ross, I just felt very lost coz I don't know if I did it good or bad.  

With Simon, it's differnt experience.  I have a feeling I can get the admission from this school.  Simon gave me the chance to demonstrate my strengths with the tough questions.  Well, normal questions gave me impression that they don't wanna know more about me.

So, guys, easy questions don't tell anything; tough questions do.... It's actually a good thing to be bombarded with tough questions.

Simon MBA Interview Experience (2007-1-17)
just finish my interview with Simon, the interviewer is Jaime Hobba, quite nice man. He has just come to Simon.

The questions were pretty normal, like

why now,
go through resume from college,
perticular company after graduation,
and weakness that's all.
He didn't mention anything like teamwork, leadership, even why simon. And he wanna make the interview become two-side coversation rather than one-side Q&A.

Even though the question list is limited, we still have talked for more than half hour. We talked much other than my candidacy evaluation, instead, we talked much about WTO, my English learning, my international exposure via daily working, also placement for international students after Simon and weather in Rochester, sort of things, just like small talk. On the whole, quite relaxed interview.

I have a question to discuss with you guys. I'd like to say Simon is a good finance school but due to its location, overall strength, and career service, is it worth trying? Jaime said I was likely to get some scholarship but not too much, a pity.

Mr. Lewin蛮年轻的，看上去很干练，说话语速很快，问问题的时候很有针对性，不小心说漏嘴就会被抓住把柄一直问到底的感觉，幸好谈到simon finance的排名的时候很开心的笑了起来，缓解了我的紧张情绪，然后就开始瞎扯，好象说错话了 ：（
