AA:110. The following appeared as part of a memorandum from the loan department of the Frostbite National Bank.

“We should not approve the business loan application of the local group that wants to open a franchise outlet for the Kool Kone chain of ice cream parlors. Frostbite is known for its cold winters, and cold weather can mean slow ice cream sales. For example, even though Frostbite is a town of 10,000 people, it has only one ice cream spot — the Frigid Cow. Despite the lack of competition, the Frigid Cow’s net revenues fell by 10 percent last winter.”

AI: 21. “Job security and salary should be based on employee performance, not on years of service. Rewarding employees primarily for years of service discourages people from maintaining consistently high levels of productivity.”

Math: 题库没变。i saw at least 20 questions from JJ.  btw, i was studying a summary uploaded this month by a MM, it has questions from 1 to 280.....it is MORE than enough.   There is a question, the fifth or sixth question, it is freaking hard.  it's something like for an integer n, and prime factors are a, b, c, and some bs about n*(1-1/a)*(1-1/b)....and compare it with 60.  The answers are 8, 15, 16, 31, and 32.  I picked 8, and i knew i got it wrong (cuz the next question got so much easier)......so if u see this question, don't pick 8.  my tip for u is that if u get stuck on 1 or 2 questions, don't worry.  move on to the next one.  if u get 36 out of 37 right (like me) u will still get 51.  Relax!

Verbal:  some old JJ from 前辈。

SC none.

CR same stuff.........no need to repeat.

RC.  Native American (the one compares with European); Seal; Earth and Moon; and 电力公司。  sorry, i don't remember much (at the same time, i wonder how the other XDJM can remember so many JJ, it's amazing)......

it's too late for 八月 anyways.  Here is some of my background (to entertain u):

First (AWA writing format =), I am not a NN.   I came to the States 7 years ago when i was 18.   i didn't wanna come here initially, cuz 早恋issue....=)   my major was computer science in college, and I hated it so very much.  i sucked at writing, in general.  i even sucked at writing in Chinese.  I remember that I used to get 90-95 on Chinese finals in high school (back then, the perfact score was 150 already), but my science grades were very good, so i was at least a decent student.  this is the second time that i had to take GMAT.  I got 600, M 50, V 22 or 21, a shitty score last May or June.  I studied only OG 10th, which was obviously not enough.   I was serious about studying GMAT appr. 50 days ago.   working and studying at the same time is extremely tough.  sometimes, I get so stressed out that I say "fuck this, fuck that" to myself.  Reading JJ from XDJM is inspiring.  When I see someone get a high score, i feel happy for him/her.  And I feel ur pain for those who didn't do well.......Don't be upset.  Fight on!

One of my classmates in BJ introduced me CD last month.  I can honestly say that I got 100 more points because of CD.   I studied OG 11th and GMAT verbal review, twice each book.  I felt like I was ready to kick some major ass until I did the GWD 1-13, missed tons of questions every set.  So this is what I did.  I started reading those discussons posted by previous NN on CR and SC, and highlighting the key words of the paragraph.  like However, in sum, blah blah blah.....i also started writing essays, from the most frequently appeared ones.  e.x this month, i wrote 21 first, then 106, 9, 110, 68........trust me, after 5 to 6 essays, u will greatly improve writing skills.  I also bought 9 additional sets of those retired exams from mba.com.  they were useless.  Don't buy them........

Some recommendations for prospective NN:

1) try to take the test after the middle of each month.  I dunno if u noticed:  on average, the scores late into the month are higher than those from the beganning.

2) DO NOT DOUBT yourself.  It requires skills and LUCK to score high on GMAT.  If i can get 760, so can u.  btw, I was hoping for 720.....if u don't see many JJ this month.  U will have better luck next month.

3) Do pay attention to JJ.  With math JJ, u should be able to get min. 50.  Verbal JJ are also useful.  I made a word file on CR and RC JJ.  Try to think about ALL possible answers if someone posted a CR question without an answer.

4) Rest well before the test.  I stopped studying 2 days prior to the test day.  I was just so sick of GMAT.  get a good night of sleep is important. I had insomnia last night, went to bed at 11, and didn't sleep until 1:15.

5) Don't have a big meal before the test.  Go for high protein & low carb meals.  And do bring some candy bars with u.

6) Bring passport with you.  One of my friends reminded me today.  I would've not brought it with me.......

7) Pray for luck, cuz u will need it.

Once again, I thank all of you so so much for sharing JJ and thoughts.  And wish you all the bests!
