本题OG正确答案A理解
问题在于E:the children of authoritative parents are the more likely...这句里面的the 多余吗？

因为SC学的是如何选出正确的答案，考场你得在50s内选出正确的答案，你根本没有时间纠结这个the是否多余。即便是平时训练，也没有这种the是否存在的排题情况

頂貼子, 我覺得好像這個the 多餘, 不過只要不是nature 這一類自然屬性的詞, 有the 沒the 似乎也不是那麼重要吧(PIA 飛~)

順便搭車同問, E 選項中的the children... as an adolescent 單複數有問題嗎?

答案应该是A，其余四个选项都有致命缺陷。

B，that不能指代children，不能指代人。
CDE，比较双方错误。

the确实多余，鉴于本身比较也不平衡的情况来说。an adolescent是有单复数问题。同时该句多余的还有the more likely。。。双方比较情况不加the。而且gmat本身禁止隐含比较级，比较级还是推荐than（关于这个不晓得近期有没有改动）。

肯定有问题的。和A比较一下就知，A children 和 adolescents 相辅相成，而E 一阵 children， 一阵adolescent，单复数混乱。

我的问题是：A 中，修饰children的定从who as adolescents are 。。。是non-essential 定语从句，按理说去掉non-essential定从，句子意思应该不变，但是去掉后意思变成，a比b更肯能生孩子，所以我觉得应该用essential定从，应该用that引导吧？

楼上这位完全说错了，who可以引导essential 定语从句。按照Manhattan所述，判断一句定语从句的标准是该定语从句前是否有逗号。由此判定A选项中的定语从句是essential 定语从句。
