a PS question, please instruct how to solve it

The standard deviation of a certain set of data is 4. If 12 is 1.5 standard deviations away from the mean, which of the following values could be the mean of the set of data?

A. 6
B. 16
C. 8
D. 14
E. 10

sd=4
|12-mean|=1.5*sd=1.5*4=6 =>mean=6 or 18.
