the answer is B.

似乎是说persuad的结果而不是动作,怎么不是D而是B呢？

你被刘振民误导了，要考虑英文的使用有效性。persuasion 本身并不能产生恢复市场均衡的作用，而是persuading人们吃cereal这个事件产生的结果。所以绝对不能用persuasion作主语，犯了逻辑错误。
