请问大家personal statement,study plan.statement of purpose

请问大家personal statement,study plan.statement of purpose是不是都是一回事，一般应该写在一页之内吗？这些文件如果都一样无非是讲清楚学习目的，但是personal statement似乎含有包括个人性格个性之类陈述的意思？是否应该写两份文件：personal statement和statement of purpose?请大家指教[em10]

PS and SP have different stress. To the extreme, they are different. But normallly, you needn't prepare two questions.
