题目的意思是要支持这个外购的计划能达到公司的增加利润的目的，那么当然要说这个计划的优点了。

A的意思是那些公司不打算外购的业务都是一些供应商无法提供比公司本身的成本更低的业务，按你的理解是有助于提高利润，但是这个选项和这个外购计划的优点根本不相关啊。

E的意思是这个外购计划涉及的业务是那些公司相对无效完成的任务，这些任务占去了高级管理人员大部分时间和精力，使他们无法更好的参与V的核心业务。正确，没有效率的业务给外购，精力和时间来关注自己的主要业务，利润上升

关于这个lift， 你说的第一个大概就是下面这个意思吧？

根据字典的意思，lift要是及物动词应该是鼓舞精神，振奋的意思，那也应该是

lift somebody's spirits：to make someone feel more cheerful and hopeful

lift要是不及物动词，就是消散的意思

例句：Jan's depression seemed to be lifting at last.

所以为什么ETS要用lift their depression，我也很想不通啊。
