本来想明白了的，看了manhattang上的解释又不明白了

68. The cottontail rabbit population in Orange County , California, has increased unchecked

removal是remove的名词形式，单从这一点上A就优于C了
但是manhattan上还讲到了另外一个方面
you can't use 'resulting from' as an adverbial modifier, as is done here. in general, 'resulting from' is
only used as an adjective modifier, almost always without a comma, as in the pollution resulting
from the chemical spill forced all the local residents to evacuate.

请问如果这个resuling from如果在这里作adj modifier，那它就是修饰population的吧，那么即使去掉逗号也应该是不对的了，因为在这里result from的内容应该是说明population  increase的原因的啊。还有，那就是说resulting from这个用法只要用逗号隔开就是不正确的咯？

我觉得我没说清楚。

是这样的，A results from B，B是先发生的，A是后发生的

如果你说A, resulting from B，只有两种可能，1：A和B同时发生，2：A先发

生，B后发生，逻辑意思是混乱的。

另外，cause就可以这么用，因为A causes B的结构里面，A是主导，先发生，B

后发生
你可以说A, causing B，逻辑意思是正确的。

不过关于伴随状语我还有个疑问，我觉得这句话把result from后面去掉了的话

还是一句话啊，只不过是意思不完整了而已：The cottontail rabbit

population in Orange County , California, has increased uncheckedin

recent years.
可是伴随状语不都是起一个补充作用的么，比方说：All night long he lay

awake，thinking of the problem. 去掉后面的thinking of the problem，前

面的一句话也成立啊，只不过是不知道这个人awake在做什么而已。

难道是我对伴随状语的理解有些问题？？

加了逗号，resulting from就是伴随状语了，表示伴随结果或者伴随动作，逻辑上说不通的。因为你把伴随状语掐掉以后，主句还是完整有意义的，但是你把resulting from后面的东西掐掉，这句话就废了，所以resulting from不能做状语。

如果不加逗号，resulting from就近修饰year，也还是讲不通的
