这里的意思是介词宾语后面不能加现在分词就是吗？
这里的naming之前有逗号，那么应该作为伴随状语吧。如果是伴随状语的话 这里逻辑就有错误了。。
不懂OG为什么要这样解释。。

ls 讲的是状语从句，那如果理解成修饰James cook的定语从句呢？不太明白oG上说因为james cook不是naming可修饰的名词

我对C选项的理解是：V-ing 作伴随状语从结构上来讲是要修饰句子主语的，也就是The Glass House mountains. 而从句意上来讲naming应该修饰James Cook. James Cook 不是句子的主语，所以就使得naming没有办法来 describe james Cook.

哦~~ 我明白了。今天又看了看这题，想通了。
我发现不懂的题，可以先放一放，再回头看的时候一会就懂了。

OG的解释是：
句子的主语是the mountains, 所以naming这个动作的发出者（即逻辑主语）是the mountains.但是显然，山是无法发出这个动作的。

而且C还有一个问题就是使用since把原文的强因果关系改变了，应该用because。

LZ,我当初也问的这个问题啊，解释也没怎么看懂=。=
The Glass House Mountains是主语，C选项中的naming从句子结构来看是谓语，这样就错掉了，因为The Glass House Mountains是不能主动给自己起名字的
而且since的用法因为有自从的意思，在这里使用并不太合适
他的解释以我的理解就是，james cook 不是主语，naming不是修饰他的
