问问看为什么A是错的呢？说它Wordy嘛不算语法上错误，用what引导的从句作主语不行么？就像what confuses me is ....是不是一定要what was remarkable was...

less than 么? 惯性用语，没的选择，背了吧
所以E拿走 (less as)

看到有as remarkable as，就知道是在比较两个东西了。后面一个是the use of the new technology，前面要选一个相同。
B D 是developing the compact disc
C是the development of the compact disc
一眼看出应该选那个去配the use of

现在读一整句C:
No less remarkable than the development of the compact disc has been the use of the new technology to revitalize, some of the classic recorded performances of the pre-LP era．

大概说new technology不比CD差，所以刻录performance使用了这技术。

It also mentions that "What was...""has been" is not correct.
Answer C sounds so weird to me...can you explain further why it is correct?

OG的A解释是wordy么? 我看是因为两个tenses (was/has been)。

现在看来A错的应该是时态吧，应该用个现在的时态，才能和后面的has been一致
