Recommendation letter from a client？

Hi, everyone:

I plan to apply for Wharton / Stanford / Chicago for 2009 admission. I worked with my father for family business, so would it be better for me to receive a recommendation letter from one of our clients who knows me well rather than my father or any other person inside our family business? I guess that if an insider writes a letter for me, ADCOM might think it is not credible (or biased). Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

I also think client can be a sound recommender; otherwise you may not be able to find someone know you and your business so well.

Yes, in your case, a letter from a client/partner/supplier would probably be the best available.

You may need to briefly (2-3 lines) explain in the optional essay the reasons for choosing a client.
