The MU Business school is very in tune with the vast changes in the economy and in the business world and are able to adapt and come up with new and innovative ways to reach its students to provide them with the best education and skills needed to be successful.

One of the best features of the Business school for me is the mock trading room that offers a sense of the stock market and following it for certain classes.

The Trulaske College of Business is unique because it treats our education as an intersection of academic learning and professional development. Our Business Career Services office constantly brings employers to campus to conduct interviews, host resume writing workshops, present about its company, and much more. Through the Cornell Leadership Program, I have traveled to Dallas and Kansas City to tour various companies and shadow Mizzou alumni in the business world.

The academic advising staff goes above and beyond to ensure that all the appropriate classes are in order and that I have access to the correct resources to succeed. Not only are they readily available, but they are committed to making my four years profitable and beneficial so that I can get the best job possible.

The Mizzou Business School feels like a family, like a small community of caring individuals. I've been continually surprised by how much support Mizzou has given me in my job search. The professors are great people and some have fascinating experiences from working in the private sector before becoming professors. The study abroad opportunities are fantastic.

The business school at Mizzou is far too easy. I do not feel prepared for the real world. Classes outside of the business school proved to be only a little harder. I wonder whether Mizzou was a good choice in general. Classes are far too large.

Mizzou's business program is unique because it allows you a lot of freedom to choose what track you'd like to follow. While you may be focused in finance and banking, you can gear yourself more toward investments, banking, or even real estate. You can also group the three together and move in that direction.

Our business program has such a great network of alumni and an amazing group in the building everyday. We also have just implemented the Trulaske Experience, where students are given the great opportunity to attend several business school activities and are required to have an internship before they graduate.

Intro courses are about 400 people per class and are terrible. The business school as a whole is just fair, but my experience with it is limited. The accounting program is, in my opinion, excellent.

In a school with a very large population, students at some schools may begin to feel like simply a number in the system. However, I have never felt that way in the Trulaske College of Business. Every advisor that I have met with remembers me and always shows a genuine interest in my progress as a student. I feel that I can go to our advisors for anything, whether it is to check the credits I have accumulated or just to seek advice about my college experience in general.

The actual business school building is aesthetically pleasing and offers a place for students to socialize, congregate, and most importantly, it offers an environment friendly to studying. There are break-out rooms for students to study in that offer dry erase boards and large tables for group meetings.

TOP

Faculty and advisors have done an outstanding job presenting students with networking opportunities and are extremely motivated by student success.

I believe that the opportunities outside of the classroom that are provided at the University of Missouri are excellent. These are the things that truly prepare us for the real world.

I love our accounting program's integrated approach to the master's degree, the CPA exam, and an internship. From day one, it is assumed you will complete all of these by the time you graduate. I've had incredible face time with accounting firms and am confident in my social/professional network if my plans fall through.
