I have a scientific background and have made most of my career managing technical innovations and developments. I wanted to expand my contribution in my company to something more business oriented. Chicago Booth gave me a strong commercial foundation, which includes all the tools that I need to be successful in a commercial role. The strong analytical approach to education and problem solving fit my personality to perfection.

My experience at Booth exceeded my expectations by a large margin. It was an intense and challenging course of study, while allowing me to apply in real-time the information I learned from tremendous professors. Booth instilled in me the importance of adhering to systematic processes when making business/investment decisions, but also understanding the behavioral implications of them. The global nature of the program and the new world perspective I gained from dealing with classmates from over 70 countries and studying abroad in London and Singapore combined with the close relationships I established are priceless.

The vast majority of our classmates were outstanding people, but a more rigorous selection process (maybe including the GMAT) could have helped keep away a few students who were not very committed to the program.

Booth fulfilled my expectations in a way I never imagined. While I always expected to learn the fundamentals of business, I did not fully appreciate how rigorous the curriculum would be. More than any content I gained, Booth taught me how to think more critically and how to methodically approach problems.

The strengths were passion for the subject matter and great teaching skills. The weaknesses were oriented around the variance in the backgrounds of the students which sometimes made it challenging for faculty to teach to the highest levels in the early weeks of the course.

I think the expense is too high, although the return is positive. I believe the price is driven up due to company sponsorship.

Chicago Booth provided a great combination of classroom learning from professors and sharing of ideas from a wide variety of peers. The ability to meet people in the program from two other overseas campuses is unique. I now have connections in every region of the world.

It was the best set of foundations and frameworks that could be applied to any business issues. This program tranforms the way you think.

A strength of the program is its leading academic in each field. A weakness is that the leading academics are not neccessarily the leading professionals in each field, and they may not be 100% connected with reality.

Chicago Booth was the most amazing experience of my life. Not only did I learn and expand my skill set, but I made life-long friends and business contacts. I met the most incredible people through the program and got involved in business with one classmate.

The professors are outstanding, the students are undeniably talented, the program staff are exceptional, and the alumni connections are far reaching. The focus Chicago Booth has on the international experience is unique -- it's about actively participating in classes with our international colleagues, and from that, developing lasting relationships and connections across the globe.

Our instructors were incredible. Many of them were thought leaders in their fields. They engaged and encouraged us to challenge them with our experiences. Chicago has always produced celebrity academics, and it's exciting to be near that. They were totally accessible in and outside class.

I chose the University of Chicago due to its reputation for treating all subjects with academic rigor, its culture of challenging everything, and the overall ranking/reputation. My expectations were exceeded in every area. I was able to put my classroom learning into effect in my job immediately.
