Wow!!! very nice GPA and super test scores!!! I am totally
impressed! Okay, so you are at the stage where you have very little
experience but a great basis. Now first of all realize that most
regular MBA programs are designed for people with 3+ years of
experience. So option 1 for you would be to work for two more years
and THEN apply. And to be honest with you dude, it's really not a
bad option. (even if you feel rushed). I mean you have an a amazing
basis for your scores, and that will remain the same. With two more
years experience, you will also (I feel personally) get a LOT more
out of your education. So if you slow down a bit, I think this
might be a great choice.
Your other option (as this consulting company pointed out) would be
to do one of the specific MBA programs designed for people with
little/no experience, fo which there are basically three worthwhile
ones - HBS 2+2, Yale Silver Scholars, and Stanford Deferred... I
think your profile is so good that you don't need safe schools. You
should be aiming for the top or nothing. If you don't get into a
top program, it's better for you to wait two years and apply to a
regular MBA.
Which in all honesty, might be a better idea anyhow, cause you'll
be older, more mature, more experienced, and you'll probably get a
lot more out of it.
Hope this helps!!! |
