From my point of view, advertisement is a means to promote products and services, and it mainly expresses commercialism.
At some rare cases, we do can tell the some of the ideas of a nation by its advertisement.
A television advertisement broadcasted last year for promoting a brand of bottled mineral is an example at point. The ad said the mineral water company will donate ten cents to China Hope for each bottle of water it sells. The message conveyed in this ad coincides with an important idea of our nation: Education should be provided to every child in our country. |
