MATH：5*, Verbal 2*, total: 6** 本打算如果成绩不理想，我将只渴望象一个手持宝剑的游侠，在经历了江湖纷争之后，隐居于深山 古林之中默思一段时日。 然而，我不可能远离城市喧嚣 。毕竟我还是每天穿梭在业务繁忙的银行 里，毕竟挚爱父母双亲即将来美，那是我盼望已久的时刻，毕竟，我还想做一次机委来回报GR的帮助，哪怕我将告别GMAT。要做的事还很多，既然老天爷没打算让我倾 其所有地读FULL TIME TOP MBA，以后就读一个PART TIME吧，也没了经济压力。也许在重游 NIGARA FALL 的时候，那从天而降的水会告诉我什么。 这次考试让我感觉到了自己的进步，这是让我欣慰的地方， 否则真不甘心。 SC和LOGIC都还好，就是阅读还是欠火候，耽误了我的时间。以下是我犯的荒唐错误，希望GAMT 新手能避免 。 第一个致命的错误，以为逻辑是重点，阅读有了托福的基础，应该容易解决。於是根本没怎么看阅读，只在考试前作了一遍OG，模考时发现复习的东西不对路 ，第一考试已经来不及了。GR 上看到有人mention GRE_High_Score, I could not get it run properly on my computer, so I gave it up. Untill recently, before this test, I realize I have to try it, It proved to be very useful.但是，已经相见恨晚！！ 所以， 我现在强力推荐GRE_HIGH_SCORE。 第二个错误， 听从前人的经验，以为复习了LSAT LOGIC，再看GMAT LOGIC 就可以一览众山小了。於是买了NOVA 和 KPLAN 的 LSAT 书，认真地研究了LSAT LOGIC，觉得确实有提高，信心大增，以致于直到考试都没再看过LOGIC， 优势变成了劣势。 第三个错误，第一个月复习GMAT时花了一个月背GMAT 单词，但是没有反复复习，结果一本书背完 ，前面的也忘的差不多了。白白浪费了这一个月的宝贵时间。后面看阅读时，还得重查单词。 后来 考试前在公司上班时拼命背单词，再看阅读就感觉舒服多了，但显然我的做法令整个GMAT复习事倍 工半。 这次考试前，我越来越意识到自己犯的可怕的策略性错误，想想真荒唐。 一直都记得家父的教导， “埋头苦干的同时，别忘了抬头看路”自以为我在这方面尤其在行, 在别人眼里叫幸运，but still,复习GMAT时，竟走了这么大的一段弯路，吃了很多不必要的苦，浪费了很多时间, 至今也只 能接受一个二流的成绩。I believ things will be much different, if I used GRE_High_Score at the beginning. 除了觉得自己天分还不够，就只感叹造化弄人了，除非老 天爷冥冥之中另有安排。 我不信神，但相信命运。 讲了这么多，该感谢我要感谢的人了，谢谢Sheenfish MM，你总是及时回答我的问题，并给了我很多鼓励，你帮助了很多很多人， 这对于你这样一个年轻的女孩来说，多么难能可贵。 谢谢 skysky，nubesyiris，vivian，你们是一群如此聪明又能干的女孩，希望你们成功快乐。谢谢KILLG，你的MATH难题总结对我帮助很大，谢谢你做的这一切，希望你取得好成绩。祝福宝宝，希望你快乐，这是北美的 MATH JJ。 还有，那在狰狞的面目下有一颗温柔的心的 Brainwash 哪里去了？ Overall the math is not difficult, I got only two questions unsure and guessed due to time limitation 1. X is 15% of 200, y is 40% of 300 (numbers not sure) what is the percent of x to y? 2. 9^9 - 9^2 is closer to which one. a. 9^9, b. 9^8, c. 9^7 d. 9^6 e 9^5 This is my third question, not sure, take me a lot of time, worried I won't have enough time left, so I gavee it up and picked a wrong one. it should be 9^9? 3. y is the line between 10 and 40, three times as many y to 10 as to 40, what is y? a. 32, b. 32+1/3 , c. 32 +1/2, d. 33. After calcualtion without getting an answer, I gave it up. Actually I still have 8 minutes left after I finished math. But it occurred in the middle, I don't know what other questions will be. 4. is 4a^2 - b^2 the product of two consecutive odd number? A. could not remember, B. b = 1 B. 5. Old JJ from Killg's Math collection is the remainder of 3x divided by 2, which one have the value of 1? 1. <2x +1> 2. <2x > + 1 3 2(x + 3) Something like that. 1, and 2 6. sqrt(169x(sqrt(256) + sqrt(81))) = 65 the last question 7. travel at speed r mils/hr, the stopping distance is d = 0.045 r^2 + 1.1 r if travel at speed 2r miles/hr, how much greater the distance travelled than travelled at r miles/hr. I choose 0.045 r^2 + 1.1 r 8. Circle C satisfy a^2 + b^2 = 10, a, b on circle C. How many points of (a,b) can be on the circle? a, b are integer. Answer 8 1, 3 1, -3 -1, 3 -1, -3 3, 1 3, -1 -3, 1 -3 -1 9. Old JJ, a bus, 1/2 of the people get off, then 4 people get on, at the third stop, there are 10 people on bus. what is the number of peope after first stop? There is no answer 12, so choose 16. 10. JJ. 89 boxes, all 45 boxes shelf J are lighter than all the 44 boxes on shelf K. what is the median of the weight of these 89 boxes? A. The heavise one on self J is 15 pound. B The lightest one on self K is 20 (number may no be right, but doesn't matter) A. 11. JJ 8 people play games, how many will be? no duplication c(8,2) = 28 Just be careful. Overall it is not difficult.
