boxes as each worker on the day crew. if the night crew has 4/5 as many
workers as the day crew, what fraction of all the boxes loaded by the

anwer: 5/8
OG的步骤: 3/4*4/5=3/5 1+3/5=8/5 1/(8/5)=5/8 我不明白为什么要用1/(5/8)? 谢谢!

因为题目中的条件都为比值关系，求的也是比值，所以可以假设 day crew 的 worker number 为 1， 工人效率为1

这样 night crew 的 worker number 为 4/5， 工人效率为 3/4

OG的步骤: 3/4*4/5=3/5（计算night crew 工人 load boxes 的总量） 1+3/5=8/5 （day crew and night crew 工人load boxes的总量） 1/(8/5)=5/8 （其中1为1*1，为day crew 工人load boxes的总量，这样就求到了那个比值）

two crews did the day crew load?" 意思是求day crew and night crew 工人load boxes的总量占总工作量的多少, 答案应是(5/8)*1?

看了看我自己回复的帖，是不是我讲得不清楚糊涂了？呵呵

前面的假设应该看明白了吧，接下来：

因为要求：fraction= the boxes loaded by day crew/ all the boxes loaded by the two crews

OG的步骤: 3/4*4/5=3/5（计算the boxes loaded by night crew）

1*1+3/5=8/5 （计算all the boxes loaded by the two crews，其中1*1，为the boxes loaded by day crew）

1/(8/5)=5/8 （这样就求到了那个比值）

这样应该讲清楚了吧

day crew loads 假设为1.
day crew 和night crew load 的总量为1+3/5=8/5
所以day crew loads 的在day crew 和night crew load 的总量中的部分是1/(8/5)=5/8

看来阅读真是非常重要,否则题都读不懂.
