So who is the 2+2 program seeking for? Let me tell you about the birth of the 2+2 program.
It was on the first day of our first 2+2 summer program. During the evening reception, the admissions director told us this was how 2+2 was born: they wanted to capture the bright people that they had continually missed in the application pool, who they found to be young people not on a traditional business track, like scientists, engineers, social scientists etc.. That’s how 2+2 was initiated to fill in the gap.
Indeed, among the 106 students in the first 2+2 cohort, only 3% had academic background in business administration; 49% had humanities and social science background and 48% had science and engineering background.
That said, ANYONE could apply and potentially be accepted to the 2+2 program. I met a couple of 2+2 fellows who had internships in Goldman Sachs. However, you should prepare to reapply to the regular MBA program should you not be accepted by 2+2, since they do give preference to non-business students.
也就是说 HBS 2+2这个项目是填补full time MBA那个缺口的 给更多机会在那些非商业领域的人
