After attending a smaller university for two years, I have noticed that the level of professors and students this school attracts are of a much higher quality than others. An example is that group projects were not exactly enjoyable to work in at the school I previously attended. Students didn't care to do their share of work. As a guy who takes school seriously, this made group work a hectic mess. I have been involved in five group projects since being at Miami University and have not had an issue. Maybe that is luck, but I feel the work ethic these students put forth is beyond those at other schools.

As far as I am concerned, we have the best dean of any business school in the country. He is active and visisble every day at the school, and he is working hard to make it better. He has a vision and the know how to execute that vision.

Beyond the academic knowledge I gained from participation in my school's business program, the opportunity for real world application in the classroom, interaction with other students, organizations, and accounting firms have prepared me for a successful career in my field, making the program unique.

A brand new building with great technology and amenities [makes the school unique]. It was truly built for the students and everything put in it is to help us with whatever we may need. But the main thing that makes us unique is the professors. They take interests in all their students and take time out of their days to meet us whenever we may need to see them. They want us to succeed today and in our future endeavors. I have received e-mails from multiple teachers, who share job opportunities with me. This just goes to show that they want students to leave school and do well for themselves.

Classes are focused on preparing us for the future. We focus on things that will be on the CPA exam and preparation for the new International Accounting Standards.

Considering our school is somewhat limited because we are not in a big city, Miami uses many resources to bring in guest speakers and companies to come and speak with us. Last semester I participated in a marketing campaign for the NCAA Men's Basketball.

Excellent teaching staff and real world examples [make this program unique]. Students have exposure to current issues and have the chance to hear from leaders in the business world, including CEOs, CFOs, and controllers.

For a school that most people seldom think of in a town nestled in the farmlands of Ohio, we constantly produce top employees and future employers in every industry. The students here make the difference. Unlike some who attend the Ivy League schools because they constantly have their heads in the books, our students not only have the academic skills, but we have the social skills necessary to become future titans of industry. We know that it takes a lot more than book smarts to make it to the top, and our professors drill that into us from day one.

I have been at a loss of words each time I enter the new Farmer School of Business. I feel like I do not deserve such a great facility because it is such a massive step up from what we had before. This will certainly allow the students to focus on their business courses more than before because we no longer have to trek across campus to get to class. We can use the 15 minute passing period to review notes and speak with professors and classmates. More than anything, gains in efficiency of learning will be huge. I cannot express how happy I have been with our business program, and if I end up working in the Midwest, I will absolutely be applying to Miami's one-year accelerated MBA program, which is [in my opinion] among the top 10 in the country.

I believe our program has the best teaching quality of any undergraduate business school. No TAs teach classes; all are taught by professors who possess their PhDs. Also, our school emphasizes quantitative problem solving over everything else, something that can never be undervalued when looking for a job.

I believe that Miami's business program is unique in that the spirit of the school is evident in the commitment of the staff and faculty to taking steps beyond the classroom to constantly improve the educational and professional value of FSB. Everyone works together to reach the goals that we are looking to reach through our program - continuously improving our reputation, our expectations, our ethical awareness, our diversity, and our long-term perspective.

[What makes the program unique is that] I can market myself and tailor my skills and past work experience to fit a larger variety of full-time job opportunities than any other jobless college student.

I strongly believe that Miami's business program fully prepared me to enter the professional world upon graduation. The wealth of student organizations and degree of participation within them make our program truly outstanding. The many opportunities for students to take on leadership roles outside the classroom is what prepares them for successful careers in business.

I think that our business program is unique because of the professors' commitment to the value of undergraduate education. The majority of the teachers that I have had in the business program have showed a true passion for teaching. Since I have taken advantage of teacher's office hours, I have built many relationships with my teachers that have made me realize how intelligent all of the business program teachers are.

Looking back on my entire business program experience, I have noticed that undergraduate education has been deteriorating. When I took introductory business classes, I was usually in a small classroom setting (between 25 to 30 people). Now, most of the underclassmen with whom I have spoken say that their class sizes are much larger, and they feel that this had a negative impact on their learning experience. I think that larger class sizes make students feel uncomfortable to ask questions and make the classroom setting much less interactive. I feel that Miami has been spending money on the wrong things, such as new buildings like the Farmer School of Business, instead of spending money on hiring more professors to keep class sizes small and student-faculty ratios low.

I think the emphasis on making undergraduate students prepared for the workplace sets the Farmer School of Business apart from others with which I am familiar. My experiences in the economics departments have also taught me a level of critical thinking and analysis more advanced than one would naturally obtain in other parts of the university or at other institutions.

I think the main thing that makes the Farmer School of Business unique is that many of the classes have you working with actual big-name companies, which give you real world experience. Teachers also give assignments that are consistent with actual job tasks.

I was allowed to study abroad in Ghana and easily fit that into my schedule. Also, the choice in majors is outstanding - an important reason I decided to come to this school.
