INSEAD welcomes largest ever MBA class 26 January 2007 The incoming MBA class of January 2007 has broken INSEAD records. With 461 members, it is the largest ever MBA class – and includes 111 women and 133 participants of Asian nationality. We have also broken records for the number of Nigerian, Japanese, Korean, Romanian and Chilean participants (at 4, 20, 22, 7 and 4, respectively). The new class is therefore also one of our most diverse ever. And with an average GMAT score of 700, we continue to achieve diversity without relaxing our requirements for excellence. INSEAD is unusual among business schools in that it has two MBA intakes per year for its 12-month programme. The new intake takes the total number of participants enrolled to 887. Over recent years, we have seen a significant trend towards the Asia-Pacific region – in terms of participant nationality, country of residence at time of application and location of first post-MBA job. This is a trend that we expect to continue throughout 2007 and beyond. |
