答案是D我没疑问，但是我对E选项为什么错不明白。OG里面说"E For a recovery finally is awkward and - to the extent that it can be seen as grammatical - does not make sense." 可E选项为什么awkward呢？

For a recovery finally underway这里的形容词放在修饰语后面，doesn't make sense。recovery又不是什么特殊名词

可是如果hope作动词,省略be动词的形式呢? hope you happy, hope a recovery underway这种说法对么?
另外,hope作名词,后面可以跟for么?是不是用the hope of sth/that...而不是the hope for sth呢?

对E也有同样的疑惑。
hope for sth 是有这样的用法的。
查看了其他的论坛，觉得比较对的说法就是，E 改变了hope的内容重心。
原文强调的是recovery 开始了（underway），而改写后将重心转移到了recovery上，finally under way 变成了一个修饰成分。
