Hello there! Yes, there are other programs out there that are known to specialize in Hospitality and Tourism management. But as we have told everyone who asks..we encourage you to go the best school you can get into! So don’t focus on HOTEL management, or TOURISM management…focus on MANAGEMENT! J Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg, etc. Those are your best bet. Now, if you cant crack a top-20 or top-30 program, then perhaps it is time to consider specializing as you have indicated. In that case, I would consider the following programs: Not just Cornells program, but the Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality offers an AMAZING program, worth looking into (especially if you are considering staying in Asia.) Glion Institute of Higher Education is among the best if not THE best in Europe, and they tend to have a preeetty cool application process also. Very beautiful, very well regarded internationally. Les Roches is similar, in that it boasts among the most storied and sophisticated programs, and is also based in Swizerland (do you see a pattern forming?) J And finally, I would look at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne—the oldest school in the world. Start here (and UNLV’s new Asian hospitality campus is pretty daggone cool too!) and you should be off to the races. Hope this helps, and GOOD LUCK! |
