I met my interviewer at her office.
The alum was very friendly, personable, and welcoming. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. The time passed very quickly, and there were only a few questions asked.
After introducing myself she quickly asked the following:
Why stanford? Why mba and why now? Why current company? If not admitted by stanford, what will you be doing next year? Tell me a time when you had to deal with a difficult team. What is your leadership style? Give me an example of how you've led that way. Talk about a time when your values were challenged and you had to consult your moral compass. What do you like to do outside of work? Other than general management, what can stanford give you?
Besides these questions, we also talked about many other topics such as: her background, comparison between east coast and west coast, her learnings at Stanford, the culture of my current company, and the city of Palo Alto.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience. Not sure how much the interview weighs at Stanford - guess I'll find out in 3 weeks!
