Great question, and an easy one to answer!
So in the first question, they want your recommender to describe you. But to choose the BEST words to describe you. So, for example, if I was going to describe my business partner Raj, I'd say that he's meticulous, creative, and patient. And then I would go in and explain each one specifically, and include examples that exhibit those characteristics. Why choose those? Because not only are those things TRUE, but they are very different from one another, and together they show a very impressive person that will stand out for the adcom. So you'll want to coach your recommender to do the same. And to NOT just go with the standard "hard working" or "smart." Those are BORING and won't impress the admissions committee.
For the second question, they want your recommender to write about one SPECIFIC area in which you're the BEST. So, for my business partner, I'd write about how meticulous he is, and how he takes great care with everything we do. And how that has led to the success of our company. This is where your recommender can get REALLY specific, and tell a very detailed story that shows the adcom who you are and why you're so amazing.
Oh, and one more thing.... whatever you do, don't write those letters yourself. The adcom is going to know, and if they think you forged those letters, it's the fastest way to get your app thrown out. So please please please have your recommender write those letters!
