  In this argument,the arguer concludes that the costs of processing go down
because as organizations learn how to do things better,they become more eff-
icient.To strengthen this argument,the arguer cites color film processing as
a example.In additon,arguer reasons that long experience will enable companys
to minimize costs and maximize profits.At first glance,this argument seems to
be somewhat sounded,but a careful examination of this argument reveals how gr-
oundless it is.

  In the first place,the argument rests on the assumption that foods processing
is analogous to color film processing in all respects.This assumption is unsou-
nded,since although there are points of comparision between foods processing and
color film processing,there is much dissimilarity as well.For example foods proc-
essing involves frozen preservation,frozen transport and so on,however color film
pocessing needs not do so.Therefore,this assumption is not unsounded.

  In the second place,the arguer falsely depends on gratuitous assumption that
long experience will enable foods processing company to minimize costs and maxi-
mize profits.However,no eveidence is stated in the argument to support this assu-
mption.In fact,this is not necessarily the case.For example,it is more likely th-
at long experience can not enable Olympic Foods to minimize costs and maximize p-
rofits.Therefore,this argument is unsounded without ruling out such possibility.

In conclusion,this argument is not convincing as it stands.To strengthen the argu-
ment,arguer would have to provide eveidence to prove that foods processing is anal-
ogous to color film processing in all respects.Additonally,we need additonal detail-
ed eveidence about long experience will enable Olympic Foods to minimize costs
and maximize profits so that we can establish the conclusion whether the costs of pr-
ocessing go down because as organization learn how to do things better,they become more
efficient.
