虽然选对了 可是不明白A的结构到底是什么，句子的主语是哪一个，哪些是做同位语修饰的呢？

3.some 和others是colonies的同位语

4.formed as commercial ventures,和as religious havens,是some和others的定语，formed在第二句中省略。

但是我不知道为什么这里并列没有and，第二个formed为什么可以省略！！！

觉得some***，others就像A，B两个名词一样，只不过这两个有内在的逻辑关系，如果是这样的话A formed as..., as...逗号的中间不是应该加一个and并列吗？

some...others...是固定搭配，不需要and.

formed为什么不能省略？

这里补全应该是 some is formed as... 把some看做colonies的同位语的话就要省掉is，可是没必要省略formed啊

    感谢，终于明白了，至于and的问题，我想加上and句子的结构也会变得很奇怪吧，必经这里others的同位语关系会被削弱，不过我也不是很清楚，望NN解释

不是NN，偶个人觉得因为是others as religious havens，省略了动词formed，所以some 和others不用and连接。。。

个人意见。。。

From "its" we can eliminate B,C,D
From "with" we can eliminate E, because it violates parallel
