我觉得如果是making的话，应该是修饰的前面的整个句子，从逻辑上讲是A

large rise in the number of housing starts in the coming year使得建筑

业更加鲁棒， 个人感觉应该选B。不知道对不对，呵呵

正确答案是C。
省略了than和five years ago之间的动词，有可能有歧义。
可以是 than it (health) was five years ago， 也可是than it (rise) did five years ago吧。

这题我怎么觉得解释是错的，making显然应该修饰主句的主语吧，修饰的是A rise吧？
