答案选E完全没有问题，我当时自己选的是E，不过后来分析选项的时候，
发现（B）也可以起到削弱作用啊，使用新技术生产使用的fossile fuel比使用老技术使用的少，
而答案的解释：it does not matter how much fossil fuel was used to manufacture the older techonoogies originally. That has no bearing on whether more fossil fuel would have been expended as a result of the continued operation of the industries if the partial switch to newer techonologies had not occurred.

意思是，原文没有提到技术的作用是produce machinery，但是B选项把技术缩

小到produce machinery，无关，是么？

整理一下，大家如果有相同问题可以看我的，菜鸟之间会有共同语言的。
if working in the job would entail a 90 percent chance，这句就说明了得心脏病是在工作之后。公司如果认为一个员工在工作之后会得心脏病的概率达到90%，就可以拒绝这个job applicant，如此一来选B就没有问题了。
