Application Dates

The following are the deadlines for the MBA Class of 2012 entering in the fall of 2010:

Application Periods:	Application submitted online by 5 p.m. EST:	Notification of the MBA Admissions Board's decision:
Round 1	October 1, 2009	December 15, 2009
Round 2	January 19, 2010	April 6, 2010
Round 3	April 8, 2010	May 13, 2010

Please note that each "round" represents a distinct period in which you may apply, not a succession of steps for your application. You may apply in one round only, one time in an application year.

Given past experience, we anticipate that many candidates will submit their online application materials very close to 5 p.m. on submission deadline dates. To avoid heavy server traffic and potential delays, we encourage candidates to submit application materials as early as possible.

Applications received after 5 p.m. on October 1, 2009 will be considered in Round 2. Applications received after 5 p.m. on January 19, 2010 will be considered in Round 3. Applications received after 5 p.m. on April 8, 2010 will not be considered.

Regretfully, requests for decisions earlier than the notification dates listed above cannot be accommodated under any circumstances.

It is important that you apply only when you feel your application is as strong as it can be.

While we admit outstanding individuals in all three rounds, there are some advantages to applying in either the first or second round:

• Early notification
• The opportunity to meet other admitted candidates during Admit Weekend
• Guaranteed one year of on-campus housing
• The opportunity to register early for the Schwab Residential Center, which is in high demand.
• For international students, to have additional time to navigate the often time-consuming visa process.
• If needed, the ability to complete preliminary quantitative and/or language coursework prior to arrival on campus.
• If you are considering applying in either Round 1 or Round 2, we encourage you to consider Round 1. Over the past few years, we've noticed more applicants applying in Round 2 and, as a result, this round has become bigger and a bit more competitive. You should never rush your application. But on the margin, earlier is better.

Kellogg MBA Application Deadline

 

Deadlines

The Kellogg School of Management application is comprised of two parts with correlating deadlines. To be considered for admission, candidates must complete the online application and an evaluative interview. Please see the admissions timetable below for further detail.

Part I

• Data Form: biographical information, educational experience, academic honors, extra-curricular activities, work history, self-reported GMAT and TOEFL score and names of recommenders.
• Interview Request:
  • To request an off-campus interview: Select the off-campus interview request box on Part I and submit by the deadline designated below. The admissions committee will notify candidates either of an interview assignment in their local area or of an interview waiver in areas of high demand or remote location. Off-campus interview assignments may take up to six weeks depending on demand and location.
  • To request an on-campus interview: Select the on-campus interview request box on Part I and submit by the deadline designated below. Candidates should allow two business days before calling the admissions office at 847-491-3308 to schedule an on-campus interview. During our peak season, appointments may fill up four to six weeks in advance.
• $250 non-refundable application fee
