What is the difference between "be known as" and "be known to be"?

感觉上，
一般AS后面跟名词
BE后面是形容词，
如果BE后面也加名词。。。不是有点多余吗

tobe, just show us your sample sentences, I think it is more practical and straight-forward to see the difference
