I do not think schools will admit internationals without interview. Simply because schools got to know applicants might get great help in essays. They want to make sure you are really the one described in your package.

是啊，为了躲避面试而放弃很多选择得不偿失啊。其实面试也没什么，尽量发挥就好了。不可能做到完美无缺的，特别是遇到想也想不到的问题。
