答案是C，C前半部分看上去很顺眼，但是一看到by human beings’ burning of fossil fuels我就直接排除掉了。这种双重所有格在GMAT里不是wordy的吗？又是of 又是 ‘s 的。。。。。

C选项表示的意思分了两层
human beings' burning
burning of fossil fuels
所以并不重复

如果是burning of human beings' 就重复了
