这题我纠结在了C和E上~我有两点不明白~
1、other加与不加区别很大吗？比较肯定是跟别人比啊~加了不会很累赘吗？
2、此题是主语比较，而且influence这个宾语的出现会使than后的比较对象产生歧义，所以我觉得助动词have应该是不能省去的~可是E选项为什么给省了？完全晕了~

1. other很重要，没有other是说所有的人，包括自己，有other就是指除了自己其他的人。
2. 前后比较的人influence，完整的句子应该是The decisions of John Marshall, the fourth chief justice, have had a greater influence than the influence of any other chief justice in history have had.这里的have had应该可以省略。
第一点很肯定，第二点不是很肯定，但是是我的思路。

other好像确实在gmat里经常出现~我刚才又看了看别的题~只要比较好像都会有other~是不是他们的习惯啊？
第二点按你这样还原了确实就没有助动词的问题了~
可是……我还原的句子是这样子的……The decisions of John Marshall, the fourth chief justice, have had a greater influence than have the dicisions of any other chief justice in history.
因为前面是The decisions of John Marshall， JM因该是个法官的名字吧？
到底those省略的是谁呢？
