一个疑问 joined 用过去式,had become to ill 。。用的过去完成,这样可以吗?joined之前就ill??

嗯嗯,我理解你的意思了,就是说had become这里不需要和前几个过去式的动词比较时间先后,管他自己那个分句就好了,是吗?

结构上应该是三个括号内的内容相互并列,因此had become to ill时间仅在was discharged之前吧。
