The dean's speaker series featured high-profile speakers (for example, General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome), the alumni association would host networking events within the area to meet current alumni and discuss topics of the day, there would be faculty panel discussions to discuss current events such as the financial crisis and the impact of the election on business, etc.

Overall, this program was outstanding. It was very challenging but extremely rewarding at the same time. Balancing school, work, and family over the past three years has been one of the most difficult things for me to do in my life. But the rewards have been tremendous. Over the last three years, I was promoted twice and received five raises. My salary went from about $80,000 per year to $140,000 per year. I went from being an individual contributor in operations to an individual contributor in product management and business development to finally a senior manager, managing a team of product managers and business development managers. I am very confident this growth could not have been attained without business school. Furthermore, at a lesser school, I would not have been as motivated as I was by the caliber of students and faculty at Berkeley. The community there strives to be the best and that really pushed me to be the best I can be and it paid off tremendously for me, my family, and for Cisco Systems.

There were events throughout the year, both on campus and through the alumni network. Events were located throughout the Bay Area, making them accessible to those of us working full time.

Some of the instructors were great business professionals, well-respected in their fields, but did not have much capacity for teaching in a structured environment. I still feel that I learned as much as I could from them. The faculty members were all great teachers, and some had formerly been very successful in the business world.

I really enjoyed the fact that some of the professors were adjuncts and could bring in real-life experiences and their connections and networks to the school. It was incredibly interesting. Having access to such a varied faculty who was always available by phone, e-mail, or in person was a great help.

Haas was a phenomenal program and investment. I'm tremendously glad that I made the decision to attend and recommend it highly to everyone who has considered it. I am a strong ambassador for the program because of its flexibility for working adults, strong core classwork, and diverse population. I highly recommend and endorse it.

It has world-class faculty, extremely smart and motivated students, access to a wide network of distinguished alumni, and most of all the gold stamp of recognition that is associated with Haas and UC-Berkeley.

I would definitely attend UC-Berkeley's Haas School of Business since I have been able to achieve my original expectations. I have gained a world-class business education with a focus on leading through innovation. The classes provided a healthy blend of case-based learning combined with theory lectures and a host of class and industry projects. Innovation is ingrained in the curriculum with programs like Haas-at-work, Peers-at-Haas, Washington Government Trip, Meeting the Oracle of Omaha, etc. In addition, part-time students have access to all facilities that full-time students have - the program office, admissions, career services, IT, library. The school as a whole has performed beyond my expectations to strive for providing me with the best possible educational experience.

Adding more of the premiere faculty to the weekend program would have been useful. They offer networking and resume-building opportunities that some of the others can't.

The classrooms are starting to show their age a little bit, and they could definitely use a face lift.

The overall experience at Haas was great. I think I got what I needed from the program and would recommend it to other students. I felt that career services should have been a more integral part of the program because I believe that those getting an MBA are looking to enhance their resumes with more than just a bullet point stating that they got an MBA from Haas. Also, I was hoping for a strong technology slant, given the Silicon Valley location, but few classes focused on technology.

The strengths of many of the professors are in their industry experience and ability to translate that experience into class instruction. They challenge the students to perform at their very best. In addition, they have contacts with key individuals in the business world who often give their time to speak and interact with the students. Their weakness sometimes would be that they expect the students to be as knowledgeable about their field of study as they are.

Program, faculty, and resources are outstanding. Professors teach more than just business skills. There are many events where you learn to socialize and network. Most of the professors also teach from a practical perspective.

While I had a great experience at Haas, the EWMBA program is still secondary to the full-time program. On many levels, the part-time students are treated as second-class citizens when compared to the full-time students. This disparity is especially glaring since the part time students pay more in tuition and fees. However, it should be noted that this is the case for many part-time MBA programs around the country.
