layoff 对申请MBA会不会有影响。

我在一家美国大型计算机公司工作，目前公司裁员，每个被裁的人会有很不错的package。我准备明年申请MBA，所以想现在申请layoff，但不知layoff 记录会不会对我的申请有影响。有了解情况的人请告诉我，在此先谢过了。

应该不会，目前的环境LAYOFF也可以理解。前人是这么说的。

As long as you don't mention the truth you are layed off when you apply.

Thank bill_cheung, sunflower and markwater for your prompt reply. Some "sophisticate" applicants told me that recuriter will call your company's HR for confirmation occasionally, especially when you are in a big American Company since they can do that readily. If they find out a employee left company with a package, they won't have a good impression. Is that true? If so, I will think about my dimission.

I don't think it is a problem however what I concern is your status. if you need to transfer back to F-1 if u don't have a green card . that will be a problem. 'cause the admission people like PR and citizen better.
