另外，B答案为什么不能作为现在分词作定语表示状态呢？主语是Lucretia Mott。

不能看成表状态，否则这个句子的意思就变成了，LM发表了一篇论文，同时又在一篇论文里xxxx.可是原句明明表达的是，她发了一篇论文，在这篇论文里xxxx。。如果要表达在这篇论文里xxxx了，应该是argueing in the treatise 而不是a treatise。我不知道我说清楚了没

正如楼上讲的  当第一种和第二种情况都讲的通时就产生了修饰歧义
而原文的逻辑意思是论文中xxx并不是作者xxx
除此之外 gmac还是比较偏好同位语修饰紧邻名词优于后置定语做修饰的

其中those指代the patterns of stress
likely to result in depression是相同部分可以省略
are提前与否均可 这里是倒装句

38，语法上B应该没错，arguing in a treaty 的确可以做published her Discourse on Women伴随状态，但是语义上两件事被分开了，publish和argue成了两件独立的事情。而E则很好的避免了这个情况，更符合逻辑。

OG38：在新东方老师上课的时候讲过一个优先情况：在选项中有分词和同位语作状语优先选同位语（尽量选择同位语）。
这个优先情况是老师讲这道题中提到的。
argue for 这个固定搭配 以及平行的时候介词尽量要重复出现。
