请教一道关于方差的数学题.

做Kaplan时遇到的.
A班有学生6人,平均年龄是15岁.B班有12人,平均16岁。问standard deviation of A>B
1.difference between the age of any 2 students i nA is always >1
2.no students in B is more than 6 months older than any other students.

怎么考虑？望大侠们指点

但提干中给的条件一个都没用上。

请问版主， 是不是方差和平均值／中位数都无关，而和只与各数与平均数的差的大小有关。 另外和一共有多少个数有没有关系（比如这里的学生数目）？

是。
与有多少个数没有关系。比如：A：2、2、2、2、2。
                            B：3，6，100
                        当然是B 的方差大。
         又比如：A：3、6、100、200、1000。
                 B：2、2、2
         当然A 的方差大。
方差代表的离散度。
