个人觉得E主要改变句子意思，原句说although air怎么怎么样，而E说although carests and troughs是怎样形成的，另外E还是用了被动，更把原句的remain这样有含义的系动词扔了不好

还不能到看简洁的问题上，因为remain是不能乱扔的词，例如 sth remain stationary一样东西保持不动跟  stationary sth不动的某东西，不是一个意思。
