一道数学题

您好，
我的朋友在最近GMAT里遇到了以下一道数学题。
1/6 是未确认的答案，可是最底层洞口的数为5，为何概率不是1/5呢，
请大家指点，谢谢！


a wall has wooden blocks attached to it in a pyramid
formation as shown below. a ball is dropped in to this
formation from the top and it moves down after hitting each
block. assuming that after each contact with the blocks the
ball has equal likelihood of falling to its left or right
what is the probability that the ball will fall out through
the center slot of the lowermost row of the formation?

上图第一行"O"表一小球, 第2,3,4行的"X"表障碍物, 第6行表小槽. 小球从上落下,在第三行时 受到障碍物的阻止, 其向左或右的机率相等, 各占50%. 以下依然. 问最后球掉到第六行的第二个M的机率? (3/8)
对每一行落到X的概率都表示出来，然后即可得出结论为3/8

小球到第二个小槽有3条路可以继续下行，以次往下，到第六行第二个小槽共有8条路径。所以为3/8。
