[推荐]Stanford MBA program的真相
哈,把stanford的MBA项目痛贬了一顿 I anticipate that demand for Stanford grads will go down in the next few years. The tech focus has shifted and will never come back and Stanford is still perceived as a tech school by most companies (particularly those in the East Coast). If you want proof, go ahead and ask the school how are they doing in placement this year and the answer is... TERRIBLE. Even being a smaller school, they are behind Harvard, Wharton, Columbia and even Michigan in % of grads with a secured job. East coast companies have reduced their recruiting budgets and they just do not go to Stanford at all. However, Stanford still claims its very high selectivity. In my opinion, that is related to its small class size and not necessarily to its large number of applicants. Stanford is selective because it is small. Well, you should be careful, because, at this rate, Tuck will overtake you easily... Overall, if accepted to Stanford I would not go there immediately as I would have a few years ago. Stanford would now be the 3rd or 4th option behind Harvard, Wharton and Columbia. Those schools can offer me better jobs after I graduate in an economy like this.
