i had my W interview with an alum at BCG europe. she was super nice and freindly. i was obviously overprepared for my interview and many of the tough quesions which i expected and rehearsed were not touched upon. the process went smoothly and i also managed to crack a few light jokes occassionally. i think she also felt the interview was good, as she gave me some suggestions of how to make living enjoyable at wharton and even ask my resume in electronic form to be added to the BCG recruit database. the interview lasted 45 minutes and 4 hours after the interview, she informed me that she submitted her Little Report to Wharton. that was basicall the story, i dont think i can do much better in the interview. in 4 weeks, i will be able to see whether my destiny was already decided before the interview invite.
Starting this thread to see actually how much weight the interview carries in the application review process by Wharton. W argues campus, hub and alum interviews means the same interms of impacts to the final decision, but it's hard not to believe the direct impression oo adcom members at hubs will provail over those formatted interview reports compiled by alum. Wharton said it sees value in every applicant invited to the interview, but i guess most of you guys must also have heard about the wharton DM (dead meat) through various channels.
we may post what we go through in the interview and keep the thread alive until the decision day, so we have have some idea of how much water those claims may hold.
