Sorry for coming late because I was out of town these days.  According to the explaination, the correctiong answer was shown to be "E".  Although I didn't agree with it totally, it sounded reasonable.  "preseive sth. as" is a fix phase.  So is "threat to".  "threating to" sounds like wordy and unidiom.  However, I chose "B", and still I don't know why I shouldn't use "as" before "posed".  Thanks.
