OG12th PS 115

Mary's income is 60 percent more than Tim's income, and Tim's income is 40 percent less than Juan's income. What percent of Jane's income is Mary's income?

A 124%

B 120%

C 96%

D 80%

E 64%

The answer is C

My answer as follow:

If Tim's income is X

so Mary's is 1.6X while Jane's is 1.4X But I can not find the answer, where I am wrong?

Thank you.

我的答案同LZ您呢!请教哪位大牛解释一下。多谢!

M=1.6T, T=0.6J
SO M=0.96J

好像答案错了。 问题问的是 What percent of Jane's income is Mary's income?

og 的答案给的是 Mary’s income is 96 percent of Juan’s income.

我认为应该是(T/0.6)/1.6T

又看了一遍解释, 是我理解错了, og 对的。

T 's income is 40%less than J's income doesn't equal the expression that
J's income is 40% more than T's income.
That‘s it!
gud lak!

My assumption is that T’s income has yet been confirmed in this question by Mary's income.
