1. 作为介词:
A. "好象...",   so as to appear to be (sb.)
e.g.: They entered the building disguised as cleaners.

B. “当作, 作为…”   having the function or character of (sb.)
e.g.: I respect him as a writer and as a man.

C. “因某人是(某身份), 当某人是(某身份)时…”   since sb. is (sth.), when sb. is (sth.)
e.g.: As her private secretary he has access to all her correspondence.
e.g.: As a child she was sent to six different schools.


2. 作为副词:
A. “as…as”用于副词和形容词之前，以构成比较结构；
A-1. 第二个as用作介词：表示“达到与…相同的程度”；“与…等同”   to the same extent…; equally…as
e.g.: This dress is twice as expensive as that.
A-2. 第二个as用作连词：表示“同…一样达到某种程度”；“与…等同”   to the same extent…as; equally…as
