1. Black Americans are, on the whole, about twice as likely as White Americans to develop high blood pressure. This likelihood also holds for westernized Black Africans when compared to White Africans. Researchers have hipothesized that this prediposition in westernized Blacks may relfects an interaction between western high-salt diets and genes taht adapted to an environmental scarcity of salt.

A. The blood pressures of those descended from peoples situated throughout their history in Senegal and Gambia, where salt was always available, are low.
D. Blood pressures are low among the Yoruba, who, throughout their history, have been situated far inland from sources of sea salt and far south of Saharan salt mines.

the question you typed is incomplete. Does it let you find which one of the choices is best supported by the passage about the people now living in America? If so, from the passage, we know that people whose ancestor lived in a place without enough salt, will have high blood pressure in America where the diet is high-salted. Instead, we may conclude that people whose anscestor lived in a place with plenty of salt, will have a normal (low) blood pressure in America.
