A for是完成时态的标志，和后面的时态不符合；BC是明显的意思上有问题；D是比较难讲的，我说语法上是没有问题的，但是我查了字典during后一般加的是特定的时间段，这里的a period begining in 1788只是个同位语，没有修饰作用。不知道我解释的对不对。
