At first glance, the author’s argument appears to be somehow appealing, while a close examination will reveal how groundless it is. We do not have to look very far to see the invalidity of this argument. This argument is problematic for the following reasons.

Closely examining the author’s logic and reasoning, we find that neither of these reasons provides the sufficient support for the conclusion and this argument suffers two/three/four serious logical flaws. While this argument has some merit, there are a few assumptions that deserve attention. / At first glance, the author’s argument appears to be somewhat convincing, but further reflection reveals that it is based on some dubious assumptions.
